Accounting firm Maggart and Associates to take Gulch space at 1201

Nashville-based accounting services firm Maggart and Associates will lease space at mixed-used mid-rise building 1201 Demonbreun in The Gulch.

According to a Metro permit, the company will take about 5,600 square feet of space on the 12th floor of the 17-story building (pictured).

Nashville-based Flow Construction Co. is handling the build-out, with the permit valued at $400,000.

Maggart and Associates Parnter Jason Ricciardi said the company hopes to move in December. The company, which is an original tenant at One Nashville Place in the central business district, is home to 28 employees.

Ricciardi said the company only recently began the process of looking for a new office.

"We've enjoyed our 30-year relationship with One Nashville Place and we're excited about moving to The Gulch," he said.

The permit comes as the local office of St. Louis-based accounting firm RubinBrown recently announced it is eyeing a mid-November move for its local office to 1201 Demonbreun. Flow Construction is handling that build-out job, too.

Eakin Partners developed the site, with the building's multiple first-floor retail spaces full.

With RubinBrown and Maggart and Associates in the fold, 1201 Demonbreun is 90 percent leased, according to Tom Harwell, Eakin Partners director of leasing and marketing.
